  1. I could definitely see this as being useful. Perhaps an idea would be when you press the shift key to pull someone over, it would give you a prompt with "press x to radio in traffic stop to dispatch", and if you press X it would get your location, basically grab the license plate using the ALPR script, and then do something similar to: "[unit number] , on a traffic stop, location is [district], plates attatched are [vehicle plates]"
  2. so, I'm just wondering, does the script look for subfolders inside the SAPDFRmods>files>vehicles folder? so like, can I have a folder for a specific vehicle placed inside the vehicles folder, or do I absolutely have to have only the txd and dff files in the SAPDFRmods>files>vehicles directory?

    .

hey bud. was wondering if you had a list of all the sounds that would be used in SAPDFR? for instance if I wanted to replace the "officer needs assistance" sound, what would I name the file to?
  4. Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): Server Suggestion: A "911 hangup" call where when you arrive on scene, one of multiple things could happen. For instance a person on scene is assaulting another person (which would cause the victim to drop their phone) a person on scene is suffering from a cardiac arrest, (PD would need to request EMS) a person on scene is deceased, so EMS would have to declare the person there would be nobody on scene, so the call would be treated as a hoax or prank Why should this be added?: This would allow the opportunity for PD to get more involved with EMS, and would also be something that would occur in real life, so why not Anything else you'd like to add?:
  5. Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): MTA Suggestion: A script to add a momentary air horn for the fire truck on key 4. Basically when you press it would overlay the air horn sound on top of whatever siren you had previously selected. Why should this be added?: Would be great for when playing as FD and you are approaching an intersection to give a few really good blasts of the airhorn to say "move outta the way jerks! Anything else you'd like to add?: heres a cookie http://clipart-library.com/data_images/130023.jpg
  6. Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website):MTA Suggestion: Add the option to have an audible tone out for fire department calls. Essentially when you are playing as a fire-fighter, and you get assigned to a callout, a short fire tone out clip would play. This option would be toggleable in the /settings menu, that way if people don't want it to play, they can turn it off Why should this be added?: Could add some more realism to the game, especially for those people who may want to record gameplay, it would just make it more immersive Anything else you'd like to add?: I recorded a very simple fire department tone out that might be perfect to use here:
  7. Personally, a better idea would be to have callouts assigned based on location. Like If you are in Los Santos, you’d also get calls for Red County If you are in San Fierro, you’d get calls for Flint County Bayside Tierra Robada If you are in Las Ventura’s you’d also get calls for Bone County Fort Carson. Personally I think that might be the better idea. If you’re too far away from a Call in real life dispatchers won’t assign you to it if there are closer units
  8. Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): Forum Suggestion: Add a subsection to the FR:SA Suggestions section titled "Implemented" Why should this be added?: Having an implemented section would allow for better organization. I notice a lot of suggestions just kind of sitting around, and I could be wrong, but I think part of it is they are generally agreed upon as being accepted, but as the devs may be focused on other things, its not marked as accepted because they can't work on it. With this idea, if the staff think it should be accepted, they can move it to the "Accepted" section until they are ready to work on it. When that time comes, it can be moved to the "Implemented" section. Anything else you'd like to add?: I think this would help with some suggestions getting buried in the boards, so that it would be easier to tell if somethings been suggested already. It would also just help to clean up the suggestions section
  9. To be honest, a good majority of fire departments in the US have dual use fire trucks, that are equipped with ALS or advanced life support equipment. The reason being that in life threatening calls the fire department is more often than not the first on scene. This is an excerpt from a paramedic firefighter job description So for the script, having firefighters able to perform CPR, or stabilizing lungs is very realistic. However, I would suggest making it a fire engineer or above skill
  10. As most of us know, Canada and the US share many border crossings. What many don’t know is first responders frequently have to cross the border into another country to provide mutual aid. This can cause a lot of complications in terms of radio communication, as agencies often have different radio systems that may not be compatible with each other. In the event of a mass casualty incident, this can put lives at risk. I’d like to hear if your country faces similar challenges, and how they try to mitigate them. This is a document about the Canada-US situation http://www.npstc.org/download.jsp?tableId=37&column=217&id=3360&file=CrossBorder_Communications_FINAL_20150311.pdf
  11. As far as the helicopter suggestion, I have something to add. Maybe have a speed radar and/or ALPR option
  12. not sure if anyone else here plays SWAT 4 TSS, but I got a bit of a problem. I have the Sheriff's Special Forces Realism mod, and I havent played it in a while. I tried to play it this morning using the SFF launcher, and it said "An update is needed and it will be applied now". I clicked OK, and it seemed like it opened another window, but then exited it right away. This happens every time I try to launch it. I have it set to run as an administrator. The SSF version is 3.2 Does anyone know if there is a more recent version of it, and where I can download it manually?
  13. Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): MTA Suggestion: I have an idea for 3 different callouts. The first would be for both PD and FD. The callout type would be either "Suspicious fire" or "arson". How the call would work is both PD and fire would get assigned the call, once FD puts the fire out, "a witness" would report seeing a suspicious individual fleeing the scene, and give a description, and PD would have to search for them. The suspect would be running on foot. The second call would be the same as the first, except the suspect would be in a vehicle driving away from the scene. it could be a 50% chance of turning into a pursuit, or the suspect could surrender. The third would be a medical distress with a vehicle, where there would be a driver who goes into cardiac arrest, PD would have to stop the vehicle, and then EMS would have to perform CPR Why should this be added?: Would make the calls more interesting, and would make PD and FD have to work together Anything else you'd like to add?: If you make this, I give you cookie
