I'd like to see this mod on Sapdfr server - ELM v1.0 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYzEmRO7D3Q

Sure if it can be used in MTA, idk but it's a cool mod and i think that it don't gonna make so much lag like that els.

But is a problem while it need to be configured for each car and if you install mods you need to change the positions and so on.

I was actually already discussing about this with Tosfera. We're not sure how it would work with MTA:SA but we might give it a shot once we start rewriting the current ELM system.

In addition this is something (if it works) we'll have to be extremely careful with because if someone installs a custom mod that doesn't have this mapped and uses it the game will just crash for them. Therefore we'll really need to make it as crash-proof as possible with custom installed mods.

I believe most of Nick's mods and all of mines do not work with this ELM as yet we have no installed special lighting texture on our vehicles. I +1 for this but only if we have the option to choose the old traditional ELM mod.

There is a problem with this ELM mod. It is compatible to only certain vehicles. Read what I wrote in the previous post, we'd have to make it crash proof. We've also further discussed this and if it manages to work we'll also add like a GUI into which players will be able to copy paste ELM mappings for specific mods so that they can use them on their own mods as well instead of only server mods.

Ahh I must be blind as f*ck xD but again ill agree to this idea if there is an option to use the older traditional ELM settings :P I still prefer my blue lights flashing haha

Pretty sure I'm in the minority here but I never cared for this mod. The effects are just not there for me. Almost like a NFS: HS effect but with a couple different flash patterns. I enjoy seeing the LEDs flash with ELM (and IV's ELS). The closest we got to that was OJdoesIt's beta-ELS which fizzled out and even that just wasn't up to par due to SA's game engine.

Well it's at least 20 times better than the default GTA:SA which is why I'd like to see it in a well. Also to add, the only thing we want to pull out from this mod is the lightning, not the panel & patterns, if it turns out to work with MTA:SA we'd probably work it out with the current panel options.

If by meaning removing the older ELM lights then I'll prob kill myself :P lol

No offense tho lol but I have preferred the older ELM lights. I'll be happy if u just add ELM 1.0 and not replace the old one so users can choose between the two ELM lights.

Ok first off shoutout to SCPD so I don't have to figure out how to multiquote on these crap forums lol

To clarify, are you trying to get the lighting effect from it to replace the current additional flash from the server ELS? That sounds fine but toggable would be preferred. Also thank the Lord I am not alone with that mod lol.

We want the effects, that's all. Implemented with the current system, disable-able through /settings most likely. If it works out we will have a lot of work in our hands to make it as crash proof as possible.

In general same patterns and the current ELM panel would stay, lightning would be implemented for better visuals and would replace the current lightning that can be disabled with the /els command.
