I kinda like this idea but maybe retain the vehicle itself as a regular patrol unit since I prefer using the van for other uses. Tho we did suggest to have a new transport system in this thread where transporters can accept or deny requests from other players. http://forum.sapdfr.advanced-gaming.org/http://forum.sapdfr.advanced-gaming.org/sapdfr/forum-phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=5

Note that you can only install car mods via SAPDFR modloader by dragging both .dff and .txd file to MTA San Andreas > mods > deathmatch > resources > SAPDFRMods > files Then you press num 1 to load these files.

Here are two scenarios that are very similar but handled very differently (and no I'm not saying Canadian cops are better than the US or anything stereotypical). Both have been stopped by police for a traffic violation and both have failed to comply with police for some reason. One female called 911 to report her a Houston Metro PD officer while TPS called backup to deal with the other crazy lady. Houston Metro PD escalated and detained her for failure to comply and resisting arrest while TPS just think its not worth it to arrest for failure to comply on a simple parking ticket. Bottom line is, police can either handle it the hard way by detaining you for failure to comply, or just let the suspect rant all they want until they realize they can't win in traffic court.

Closer than "carcus"/"cactus" I agree with the revamp idea. At least this way I can use the van for something else other than transport and put it in something more useful. Besides at least cactus called me potato, which has far more spelling mistakes :P

If you mean don't have these trigger for people in helicopters, sure. If you mean get rid of them completely that is not happening. Ye I meant to say dont trigger these for helicopters. This might be possible. In 7p, drive-by has been enable for some reason to shoot at the suspect's car. Tho totally unrealistic and prob not preferred :P However, if its possible to enable drive-by for the speed radar/sniper gun only and use the cross hairs to point at the target vehicle to read off the speed it might be possible to do radar while in any vehicle. Speed radars/snipers are nerfed to 0 so shouldnt be any problems.

To be honest I never really like the current transport system for a few reasons: 1. Having the player transport replacing the AI transport seems annoying like karentza says, especially if transport van is 2 million miles away from the arresting officer. 2. There's no advantage for the arresting officer. No exp is given to the officer who arrested the officer. Only the player transport gets exp as if the arresting officer has given away his exp to the transport guy. At least with AI the arresting officer gets exp, good use for cadets. 3. Other than transporting suspects, the transport van serves no actual purposes. I've seen police vans used in other applications. In Europe police vans serves as transporting SWAT or riot control police officers or I think sometimes just as a general police vehicle. Here where I live, YRP uses police vans for many purposes, including DUI checkpoints, transporting police equipment to a scene like drones, field operation support unit, many investigations including collision investigation and forensic investigation, sometimes use of roadblocks if theres danger up ahead. Here the purpose of the van is shuttling prisoners like a bus driver. Not so fun for police vans :P To be honest, I think the transport van should be renamed "police van" as a general police vehicle so players can use them for other purposes. Also police vans should not replace the AI transport system as I think most people prefer AI transport or transporting on their own. If I need another player to transport a suspect, I would hit F6 or use /c :P

I've seen it work in a cleo mod before. Not sure about MTA but maybe?

Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): MTA Suggestion: Improve helicopter system in server with: 1. New call sign for player assigned to a helicopter. Instead of 1-Lincoln-23, it should be Air-23 for helicopters. Partners in air unit will still have Air call sign. 2. Add a hotkey for ground units to call in helicopter support. Different from backup system which calls in other backup units, this request will send to players who are on helicopters, which will assist foot chases and pursuits. Helis can choose to accept or ignore these requests like callouts. If no helis are present, dispatch will alert that helicopter will be unavaliable. 3. Remove some callouts irrelevant to air support. Callouts like vehicle theft, trespassing, armed suspect, and armored truck robbery can stay. Callouts like injured civilians, heart attacks, drunken disturbance, gang brawls, assault, fight in progress, and possibly suspicious vehicle should be removed when play as a helicopter unless they get called in by a ground unit. 4. (If possible) allow air units to control the spotlight instead of having it swing all over the place. Possibly lock on to a target suspect or vehicle. Why should this be added?: More realism Anything else you'd like to add?: N/A

Must have street race callout :P
