Gonna bump this old topic to suggest spike strips since creating a new topic on spikes may just get it locked :P (kill me for bumping an old topic tho). Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): MTA Suggestion: Use of spike strips for high ranks to help immobilize suspects. Prob make it purchasable at vendors. Why should this be added?: Spike strips were in present at 7Precinct server and as to my knowledge they worked very well. Since the pursuit AI has been improved by a bit and shooting out a tire with an MP5 is much harder on a fleeing car at high speeds due to some lags, it would be preferable to have spike strips to deploy for 5 - 10 secs before automatically despawning by itself. Anything else you'd like to add?: N/A

Here's something interesting that I best share with you. During a confrontation with the suspect an officer only have seconds to act. These seconds can be deadly to both officer or the suspect if the officer don't react correctly or quickly enough. This video shows how an LVMPD officer was able to detain a much larger aggressive suspect without having to use deadly force with Jujitsu, a Japanese martial art of self defense without the use of weapons. It seems that in many cases officers are accused of excessive/deadly force when not needed NOT because they want to abuse their power but simply because due to lack of training. Simply put, many officers with lack of training do not know how to defend themselves, thus sometimes using excessive/deadly force at the worst time possible. This video simply shows how proper training of the officers can result in much less casualties.

Players shouldn't get any of the money, in my opinion. That's a common tourist scam in South America. Also generally the court system gets the money not the officer. I agree. What I think would be good, is a randomly spawned (or possibly multiple), vehicle that would be considered illegally parked (i.e. parked on the sidewalk, parked too close to an intersection, parked in front of a fire hydrant, etc), and if a player finds it, and gives it a citation, they would get a small amount of EXP (15 or less). In this way, cadets who are trying to level up could find legitimate ways to gain EXP, instead of what more often happens with stealing civ vehicles and killing suspects. In this way, they could actually patrol in the caddy's or on bicycles, and use them the way they are intended. And if you guys do take this route, you could even rename the cadet rank to "parking enforcement". Some agencies make officers spend time in parking enforcement before they can go on active duty as a full patrol officer YAS I LUV THIS IDEA :D This is the second happiest day of me life :') (aside from the uhh Caracatus1[/member] using paint for legend symbol :P) Same would apply in traffic stops for speeders if they exceed a certain speed limit. Prob 5-10EXP would be good for each legal ticket. In addition for parking enforcement, a tow can be called in some cases depending on the rules of parking (but I guess that can be another thing).

Technically its written for the Canadian soldiers who have fallen during peace missions in Afghanistan but are still the ones whom protect the innocent. I remembered it was first played when I was 8th grade on Remembrance Day where we did a play on it. Anyways part of Ontario Kings Highway 401 was named "Highway of Heroes" where this section was used to escort fallen soldiers from CFB Trenton Base. As such many Canadians has paid their respect for those soldiers whom has gone on these peacekeeping missions. Perhaps we should pay our tributes to anybody who has risked their lives in the lines of duty, whether if your police, fire, emt, soldier, or even an ordinary citizen. And tbh I have been hoping to go into police if I ever drop out of university for reasons exactly said in this thread. For now I am continuing my studies but I would prefer to protect and serve.

Songs like this always makes me wonder how glad there are some cops who does their duty right. Every year an officer gets shot in the line of duty, and sometimes it ends in a tragedy. Officers are people too. They have their own lives. And they risk them in order to protect the innocents.

Perhaps my next mod should have Arjent lightbars with blue lights Blue lights FTW! :D

Suggestions for: MTA In-game rules Suggestion: Add a rule stating no player shall kill all peds in a gang brawl. If this rule was broken, moderator/admins may give out a reasonable penalty if not followed repeatedly. Exception to this rule is when a ped kills a ped during gang brawl or when a ped attacks the player hence the player is legally allowed to defend himself. This rule will apply only to gang brawls. Killing peds outside of this call is still legal. Why should this be added?: Despite the new +5 exp system players (esp cadets) still kill all peds in gang brawls to gain exp. Players has made complaints about this and I've heard rumors bans were made despite the fact this rule was not added. However, since this rule may seem a bit harsh to players, I'ma let this suggestion turn into a vote for the public.

I'm no scientist or contractor (my dad isn't either but he has built a shed in our backyard and built fences for the entire neighborhood :P) but I'm pretty sure sheds are not meant to fly up in the air. Lifting it can be risky. However if u were take off the roof first, then the 4 walls, then lay down concrete, then put the 4 walls and the roof back together again, it should work. I've seen roofs taken off in order to remove the excess spray foam used for keeping heat in the house. Then again i'm no scientist or a contractor :P
