So, my grandparents have a shed that year by year seems to be sinking into the ground. Its not a major major problem, sometimes opening the doors starts to get difficult. When it was originally installed (probably 30 years ago), there was never a complete concrete foundation put into place. there are 4 cement "standoffs" on each corner, but I am not sure what else is under neath. What I'm thinking is if we can lift the shed up, and use something like a skid steer with a bucket, we could dig out an area, border it with plywood or even cardboard to hold the concrete in place, then pour the concrete into the hole, and lower the shed back on top of it. Here's the problem. I am going to also upload some pictures from google maps for reference. The main problems are, the age of the shed, the strength of the wood (possible rot), how strong it would be during the lift, and extremely limited space. There is a chain link fence on one side of the garage and beside the shed. On the other side of the house is where the gas main, air conditioner, and hedge is. On the side where the shed is, if you removed the chain link fence, you would maybe have enough room to squeeze a skid steer in to the back yard, but it would be extremely tight. For supporting the shed when up in the air, I was thinking using steel beams across the underside of it could prevent the floor from collapsing underneath it, but the problem is how to actually lift it. We could possibly rent a small mobile crane, the type you would maybe use for lifting pallets onto the roof of a low rise apartment building, but as this is a solid wood shed, I personally would be concerned about weight, and overloading the crane, as you would have to extend the boom over the garage and then lower the winches down to the shed. There is simply not enough space on either side of the property to get any large equipment into the back yard. What I'm wondering, is what are your thoughts? Does anyone have any suggestions on how in the hell to accomplish this? http://i.imgur.com/ABmNWPR.jpg' alt='IMGUR>'> http://i.imgur.com/CDBwQNB.jpg' alt='IMGUR>'>

Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): MTA Suggestion: There has to be a way to impliment a timer type function that would prevent someone from saying the exact same thing in central multiple times in quick succession. I've seen it a few times, and even had it happen myself, where I've pressed F4 for a little longer than I intended to, and it ended up spamming /central showing me in service. I do not believe anyone who has done this did it intentionally, as as I said, its spaming the EXACT syntax repeatedly with no changes, where if a player were doing that on purpose, it would appear as follows or something similar: [unit 444]: Central show me 10-7 [Central} showing you out of service What is actually happening: [unit 444] Central show me 10-7 [unit 444] Central show me 10-7 [unit 444] Central show me 10-7 [unit 444] Central show me 10-7 Why should this be added?: Would clean up central, and avoid accusations of people purposefully spamming /central Anything else you'd like to add?: I've learned a little scripting, and would love to help with the checks function if needed

Suggestion for (MTA, Forum, website): MTA Suggestion: Replacing the current F6 backup system with one that can be toggled. Under the new system, the blip for the unit that needs backup would not automatically disappear, and would only deactivate when the player presses F6 a second time Why should this be added?: There are times when a player is in a pursuit and they hit the F6 button to get backup stopping the suspects. After 30 or so seconds, the blip disappears, and anyone responding to assist have to guess where the officer is. With this system, the blip would stay up until the officer turns it off, making it easier for responding units to find the officer Anything else you'd like to add?:

I stand corrected. You are right, those are Exalibur's. I thought LPS used to use MX7000 series that were retrofitted with LED's, so I just (foolishly) assumed that TPS used the MX7000's as well. Good catch Nick. Now I'm not so sure if London Police Service did in fact use the MX7000 series. You seem to be better at identifying them, so maybe you could tell better http://media.socastsrm.com/wordpress/wp-content/blogs.dir/104/files/2016/11/London-Police-Car.png -

I totally agree. I was never a fan of the MX7000 series from Code 3. Plus the fact they still are using halogen lights. Pretty well everywhere else in Canada is using LED lightbars, and for good reason. They are cheaper, and cause less draw on the battery distribution system. Why do you think most agencies no longer use the high-beam flasher modules for the wig-wag features? They caused too much strain on the battery, and the lifespan of them was much shorter -

I've seen the stealth one you posted before. I never understood the thinking behind it. You are probably aware, seeing as you are from Ontario, that the OPP have many "subdued" police vehicles (that is the terminology that Sgf Scrivens of the LPS used when I asked him), but they mainly use them for traffic initiatives and other things they need to be low key for. What is the point of having a stealth decal kit, if you're gonna put a full sized lightbar on the roof? It defeats the purpose http://policecanada.ca/policeca/on/opp/stealthunits/OPPStealth019.jpg -
thats why when I know the people I'm involved in a pursuit with are driving like orangutangs, I drop back a bit, and wait. Eventually they will lose control, and wind up in a body of water, and then I'm good to reengage +1 on this, I can't follow suspects properly without a unit overtaking me and trying to PIT like headless monkeys lol. You can see me at the video where we were headed from RC to LV I litteraly had to move to the opposite side of the highway to avoid Loteriapl hitting me again while trying to overtake me and PIT. Apparently they all follow the Midtown Madness 2 playbook where they rather rape and dogpile the suspect to death instead of pursuit tactics lol A rolling roadblock is probably the easiest tactics to perform here lol

Do you want to get shot? Because Thats how you get shot. On a serious note, it would probably be nice to have that as an option. If I'm pursuing someone with other cops, I would probably want to rush the driver and subdue him, but for traffic stops involving certain elements (stolen vehicle, RO is 10-99/wanted, etc) it would be nice to have a felony stop option. The only thing I can suggest is have the ped exit the vehicle, and then do a fallfront animation. Then impliment a restrain command that would simulate cuffing the suspect, and the fallfront would only deactivate when you've successfully restrained the suspect. I know the restraint commands exist from other mods (not gonna name it here, but Blast3r knows the other mod I play, so he probably knows what I'm talking about, I believe the fallfront animation is a default anim, so thats already there, only thing needed is scripting it all together really

here is just a very simple script I wrote. It basically allows you to list all a resources commands addCommandHandler("commands", function( player, _, resourceName) local theResource = (resourceName and getResourceFromName(resourceName)) or resource outputChatBox( "* Commands from "..getResourceName(theResource).." resource", player, 0, 255, 0 ) local commands = getCommandHandlers( theResource ) for _, command in pairs( commands ) do outputChatBox( "/"..command, player, 255, 255, 255 ) end end )
-
So, this is just a topic to share your tips/tricks for scripting. If you want to post code you've edited/made, go ahead. If it is not your original code (if you edited a script such as basicrp), be sure to post both (A) what the original code is, (B) who the original author is. I myself have been doing some scripting, mind you, I don't have a lot of knowledge, so I could definately use some improvement

There will be no chance that spike strips are getting released before the AI is fully rewritten. Every saw a pursuit guy driving? Now imagine him having blown tires. thas why you make it so you can't destroy police vehicle tires

[Suggestion] - Clans/Groups/Factions.
greenops011 replied to JuanTwoThree's topic in [FR:SA] Suggestions
This would actually be pretty nice, a local dispatch for each department, and then whenever dispatch sends officers from multiple departments, it goes into some sort of global dispatch that others can use after a certain rank (Sgt I/Sgt?) in the event of chases nearing boundaries or something similar? Yes exactly! -
[Suggestion] - Clans/Groups/Factions.
greenops011 replied to JuanTwoThree's topic in [FR:SA] Suggestions
The only reason I could see this being a good idea is if its purely based on where you are. For instance if you are in LSPD, with this suggestion (being in specified groups), you could maybe filter the callouts that you see to only being within the Los Santos area, and the same with the other patrol areas. I could see groups being good for organizing the various departments better, but thats about it -
there should also be an option relating to skins, but I could be wrong. Its something I can definately look into. Maybe Blast3r[/member] or Tosfera[/member] can give some insight
