This has been already suggested before, please search the section before suggesting to make sure that what you're suggesting is not already suggested. http://forum.sapdfr.advanced-gaming.org/http://forum.sapdfr.advanced-gaming.org/sapdfr/forum-phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=7 Topic locked.
  2. Alright since it seems that some of you misunderstood the helper position I figured I'd explain it properly. Is helper position an easy task? No, helper position can be quite demanding especially if there's a playerbase raise which involves quite some newly registered accounts. Helpers tend to get spammed with questions rather frequently and they're required to answer all of them as long as they're script related questions. Do helpers get any benefits? Just like with all of our staff positions the answer is no. All of the work that our staff does is completely voluntarily, including the community owner's. Due to this reason we do not enforce our staff to spend crazy amount of times in the server as it can get quite stressful sometimes. What exactly is expected from helpers? Helpers are expected to have proper grammar and fluent english speaking knowledge. They should be more than aware of how the script works and have a lot of patience as questions tend to be quite repetitive when they come from different players and sometimes explanation to said players is not as easy if they're not so good with English. In addition, helpers are also expected to know how to answer such questions in as professional matter as possible. What advantages do helpers have? Helpers have a lot higher chance of becoming a Moderator or a higher ranked staff member as long as they do a great job, so far helper system has helped us get more moderator+ staff members without the need of opening application proccess which tends to take quite some time. What are the qualities of a good helper? Good helpers answer questions as soon as possible in a calm way. They talk to players patiently even though they may annoy said helper sometimes. As previously mentioned questions can be quite repetitive and sometimes helpers may invest a lot of time in helping a player out just to see the player leave after few minutes and never come back. As an example I'd like to point out Caracatus1[/member] which has done an outstanding service while being a helper and has answered absolutely all questions that were asked during the time he was online and all questions were accepted in under 15 seconds time since they were /ask'd. Quite often he stopped any tasks he was doing while helping the players out even though some of us would not do that ourselves. TLDR: It's quite demanding with no benefits as it is completely voluntarily.
  3. Please elaborate, what exactly do you mean? Global archive section or archive in boards where it should be but you think is missing?
  4. For some reason it was placed in the staff section, no idea how it got there lol. It's been placed back to Screenshots & Videos.
  5. Also disable the vehicle shader as well, otherwise the modded vehicles are most likely going to be white.
  6. Bug Fixes Fixed street brawl peds data not being set as well as their walking style General Improvements Changed default walking style to normal male ped one (accidentally placed 100% CJ muscles instead of this one in the previous update) Made backup blips appear on the minimap Added parked vehicles around Montgomery Improved AI's turning at intersections Added fences onto Tierra Robada bridge to prevent NPCs falling down (thanks @Nick for the map) Added /fixvehicle (alt: /fixveh) for Administrators, this allows them to fix vehicles without having to use admin panel Added /ann for Administrators - it sends an announcement to the server Added /tip for Helpers - sends a tip that they write to the server Increased time before detain markers are deleted by 1.6 minutes Added a new and better looking corona shader Added donator chat Donator tags are now seperated into Bronze, Silver & Gold instead of "Level 1", "Level 2", "Level 3", in addition all of the levels have different colors on the tag Added Rule 14 to the F9 rules menu Adjusted the streaming check for parked vehicles, should give less cases of vehicles in the air (modded vehicles will still most likely cause issues tho) Added 1 more possible location for the street brawl (Blueberry road) New Features Added ability for Manager+ to reset account's password Added /changepassword (alternative: /changepw) which allows you to change your password while in game Added a new skin for Commander & Undersheriff, big thanks to @JuanTwoThree for the skin .txd.
  7. Actually you might be onto a somewhat bigger bug than just central dispatch. Las Colinas, occupied twice, that seems like the peds from street brawl callout of random occurance for pursuit. I'll look into it ASAP and test it to see if it'll bug on my dev server. EDIT: Couldn't find anything wrong in my tests nor the script, could be a one time bug where something wasn't set properly onto the peds or so.

    In game rules

Update April 7 2017: Added rule 14: Killing street brawl peds without proper reason.
  9. Okay, I'll change my decision as I'm fed up with all of the abusers. Rule 14 added: Anyone that kills street brawl peds will have 500 experience points taken away from them on scene.
  10. Donator chat added in 1.0.15, not really sure about the radio sounds tho tbh.
  11. Updated topic with seperate Bronze, Silver & Gold in game donator tags & donator chat that's been added in the 1.0.15 update.
  12. We managed to increase it from 0.15 to 0.20 without issues arising. In addition parked vehicles have been added in 1.0.14 update to make it feel even less dead. I will move this suggestion to accepted even though it'll surely be updated further later on.
  13. To be honest I'm not willing to move Cadets into parking enforcement as that would actually make them level up a lot slower. Originally there wouldn't be too many illegaly parked vehicles + add that each vehicle gives only 15 exp and bam, you got yourself a massive grind. I will look into ways of making this in the future, most likely a random chance of vehicle being parked illegally (not a high chance, ofc), ticketing it would give 15 exp and there would be a text above displaying that it's been already issued a citation or so.
  14. Have an awesome idea on what we could do to help us attract donators? Reply here with it explained in details and we'll see what we can do about it. Do note that the donation features may not be in any form pay 2 win and give donators any advantages over other players.
  15. Donations General As most of you know the community itself is being developed, managed & ran for free. The server costs itself are rather expensive as Advanced Gaming thrives to give you the best perfomance with the best server protection to keep it running for as much as possible without interruptions from another third party that for whatever reason decided to take the server down by performing multiple actions that cheaper hosts would not be able to handle. For the last three years all of the server costs were going out of Tosfera's pockets which is why we ask you, the players, to help us out by donating. We do not care what the amount is as we're more than aware that sometimes every dollar can count, but we have, however, decided to set 1 dollar as a minimum donation amount to keep our paypal from being spammed, which means that if you do donate less than 5$ we will not give you anything in return. What do you recieve? First thing's first, Advanced Gaming is in no way interested in giving unfair advantages to any players that decide to donate to the community. Therefore, if you're only donating because you want to get exp points, rank or any other sort of advantage we strongly recommend you to just back off and not waste anyone's time. At the moment, our donation reward system isn't really developed properly but it will be in the future which is when you'll be able to recieve more perks for the money you donate. Players are always more than welcome to suggest a few features that we could make for donators as long as they're reasonable and not giving any advantages. Here's the list of features that you can recieve by donating (will be updated later on): 5$+ Donator tag on the forums Ability to use animated profile pictures on the forums Access to Donator chat in game Bronze Donator tag in game Donator tag on Discord Access to donator section on Discord 5% exp bonus Roadblock limit increased to 15 10$+ All of the above Silver Donator tag in game Chat text colored in silver Free Pay 'n' Spray repairs 10% exp bonus Roadblock limit increased to 20 20$+ All of the above Gold donator tag in game 15% exp bonus Unlimited inventory weight Chat text colored in gold Ability to change your own callsign with the /callsign command Roadblock limit increased to 25 Payment Options For now we only support Paypal, but we may, however, expand the options in the future. Okay, how do I donate? Simply navigate to either the main website (sapdfr.org) and click on the "Donate" button that can be found on the bottom or go to Forum's main board and click on the "Donate" redirection board.
  16. I had to pull out images from the SAPD:FR Online to make it authentic lol (granted, I failed that on the 1st one D:)
  17. Record is 15 seconds on my pc :P Ye ik its crap. Nice animated arjent lightbar btw. Not mine, pulled it out of google as it was the closest I could find to a small image of a lightbar lol.
  18. Well it seems that some people are struggling with how to install the TXD Hack or are installing the one with gta_sa.exe file which is more than pointless as that's for SA-MP therefore if you're not planning to play SA-MP I'd strongly advise you not to do that as it'll just give you a warning that you have custom ".asi" mods which are not supported by MTA:SA whenever you were to start MTA:SA (yeah, that's right, I'm saving 5 seconds of your time, maybe 10 if you have a toaster for PC like I do). What is TXD Hack? In general, the TXD Hack is called a hack because it works in a way that it edits gta_sa.exe to allow SA-MP to load custom vehicle.txd. Technically, since MTA:SA only requires an image change I guess you can't even call that a "hack" and in general for SA-MP as well it's also not counted as a hack as it does not give any advantage to players whatsoever. TXD Hack is pretty much used for police vehicle mods to improve the looks of your lightbars. In general it changes the design of GTA:SA's original vehicle lights to suit the lightbar lights, such as these: Normally, without the TXD Hack they'd most likely appear as white, such as in Master After's image: Or the ugly round circles at lightbars: How to install by editing vehicles.txd? NOTE: If you wish to install this mod via SAPD:FR Mods folder, please read below. First of all download the TXD Workshop which you're going to use to replace the images in the vehicles.txd file. Once you've downloaded TXD Workshop, download Nick's TXD Hack image files by right clicking on the images and pressing "save image as..." Rename upper image to vehiclelights128 and the lower image to vehiclelightson128. After placing the images start up the TXD Workshop as an Administrator (if you don't run it as admin you're just going to get an error) and press "open TXD". Navigate to your GTA: San Andreas installation folder and go to "models" - "generic" and open the vehicle.txd that's inside there. Once you open the vehicle.txd press the "import" button and import the images you have downloaded previously, they should automatically replace the existing images if they've been properly named as stated in the previous steps. After that, press save TXD and that's about it, you should be done. Note: If you want to test if the trick worked quicky without entering your game and also have GGMM installed, open up GGMM and search for your police vehicle mod and see if the lightbars have changed, if not, re do the last steps (I had to do it twice for some reason before it worked). How to install TXD Hack via SAPD:FR Online mod folder? (Easier method) Installing the TXD Hack via SAPD:FR Online mod folder is as easy as counting to three. All you have to do is get the TXD hack images and make sure they're in the .png format (either pull them out with TXD Workshop as explained above or use the links I provided below) and put them into the SAPD:FR Mods txdhack folder for which the default directory is: Program Files (x86) - MTA San Andreas 1.5 - Mods - deathmatch - resources - SAPDFRMods - files - txdhack Once you place the images into the said folder just press numpad_1 while in game and the TXD Hack should work. TXD Hack files: Wolfschultz's TXD Hack - Makes the lightbars look more like actual LED lights Nick's TXD Hack (recommended) Doomer's TXD Hack (only use if you're using Doomer's car mods) Update 5/16/2018: Updated Imgur link to my current TXD Hack, supporting the newer Whelen Edge I use. - Nick
  19. Yeah it looks quite terrible but I didn't know how to fix this. How I can apply this TXD hack? Any suggestions or tips? Don't use that from the link you posted, just do what I quoted from another post of mine. The one you placed edits your GTA:SA for SA-MP which is not neccessary for MTA:SA and would just pointlessly give you the warning that you have ".asi" mods whenever you'd start your game.
  20. A while ago Ladder 49 was on the TV and I watched it but not from the beginning though, somewhere from let's say 30% of the movie I guess? Hell I even forgot most of it already but I do remember that it was about a Firefighter that was good with his Captain or Chief and that his wife wanted him to pull out of the job as she always feared of seeing the red car come to her house (Chief's FD Crown Vic). Someone who's more familiar with the movie will probably know more but I think he was on his last call or so before he actually wanted to retire and ended up dying in a fire. In general, what I'm talking about the most is the end scene with the Shine your light song at his funeral which has actually made me tear up a lot (usually dog movies are the ones that do that to me lol). In addition, a few years ago I used to replay the fuck out of this as well: Now to add to my topic there's one thing that majorly pisses me off and it's the people. The internet "heroes" that always know that officer should not have reacted like that in a split second decision while watching from their computer screens in their comfortable homes and comfortable chairs. Most of the situations I'm talking about are pretty much those split decisions such as that one where a drunk idiot figured he'd take out a plastic pistol on the cops resulting them into shooting him right away & situations like those. And another thing is when they mention how EU cops are "better" than the US cops and barely discharge their weapons. I personally think this is quite logical considering that EU is a piece of cake next to the US in terms of the amount of weapons there are on the streets as well as in terms of crime. The things that the US officers go through makes their actions more than reasonable since that is litteraly fearing for your life everyday unlike in the EU where it's not as messed up as it is up there. Last officer death case in Croatia was in 2013 or maybe 2014, I'm not exactly sure and it happened 15 kms from where I live, even the ambulance that was transporting the officer at 1 am or so passed next to my house with both lights and sirens on. In general, officers came to a domestic disturbance call where a suspect pulled out a knife / machete and sliced him up and it was all over the news actually. However, the thing that disturbed me the most about that case was how the news actually placed Angela Merkel visiting Croatia before the officer's death news, I have no idea how the hell is Merkel more important than someone dying on their line of duty but I guess that's fucking Croatia for you.
  21. Nice ENB image ruined by the lack of TXD hack on your front lightbars ?
  22. Perhaps my next mod should have Arjent lightbars with blue lights Blue lights FTW! :D 1: It wouldn't be your mod as technically Nick would do most of the work (lightbars). 2: Nick would in no way do something like that as he denies to make arjent lightbar let alone that. In addition I am more than sure that anyone with a right mind would also deny that unless you're paying them. 3: I believe you have ruined more than enough things so far.
  23. I've already stated this multiple times on multiple occassions that weren't just related to gang brawls and I'll say it again. We do -not- want to limit player's actions by adding too many rules of what they're allowed to do and what not. Personally those that kill street brawl peds are most of the times newcomers that are still not aware of what they're doing and they either learn or they leave later on. The low exp amount update has proved to work as they've been reduced by about 80% or so and hopefully it will get polished out later on even more. I may look into adding more features to prevent this but for now I guess we should leave it as it is while I would appreciate if players that are aware of this would give a friendly reminder that they should not do that in the future. If a player does this excessively and after being warned the staff team will punish them even though there is no official rule against it though.
